Job Summary

The Department of Biology at the University of Texas at Arlington (http://www.uta.edu/biology/) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Ecology (broadly defined) at the level of Assistant Professor. Research areas of interest include fundamental questions related to global change biology and/or ecological genomics. Start-up funds, salaries, and teaching loads are highly competitive. . Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Will be expected to develop a nationally recognized, extramurally funded research program, as well as teach at the undergraduate and graduate (Master’s and Ph.D.) levels.

Required Qualifications

Successful candidates will have a doctoral degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who use computational and/or genomic approaches to understand the ecological, developmental, physiological, genetic, and/or epigenetic mechanisms underlying responses to environmental changes are particularly attractive.
